TO ASSIST IN MAINTAINING HIGHEST SAETY STANDARDS TO AVOID DETENTIONS BY PSC

Port State Control around the world have become strict with regards to quality of foreign flag vessels arriving and operating in their ports hence vessels are subject to PSC Inspections. This is primarily to avoid sub-standard vessels from calling at ports resulting in damages to the vessel, port installations & for prevention of injury to crew & stevedores. “K”LINE India’s Marine Division carries out Vessel Inspections to ensure vessels maintain high quality & safety standards to comply with the requirements of various International conventions.

Internal Audits

In order to ensure that the vessels Safety Management System & procedures are in compliance with the requirements of various International conventions “K” Line India’s Marine Division team carries out Internal Audits of vessels to verify compliance with various International conventions & provides with observations & audit findings along with system improvement suggestions so as to have safe, efficient & environment friendly working environment on board.

PORT & TERMINAL INVESTIGATION

WE CARRY OUT SAFETY ASSESSMENT OF PORT FROM MASTER’S POINT OF VIEW

Safety of life, vessel, cargo & prevention of damage to environment is the primary objective for carrying out Port & Terminal Investigation. In order to achieve this “K”LINE India’s Marine Division team carries out safety assessment of nominated ports as per owner’s request. Safety aspects of the port such as Depth of approach channels and Berths, Cargo Operations during Heavy Weather and various other aspects are considered for safety assessment.

PORT CAPTAINCY

“K”LINE being one of the pioneers of Car Carrier Operations maintains a very High standard of Operations on Car Carriers and has a policy of ‘ZERO DAMAGE’ To achieve the goal of ‘ZERO DAMAGE’ “K”LINE India’s Marine Division has been carrying out Damage Prevention Activity & Training for PCC Operations at various ports in India and Persian Gulf.

RECYCLING YARD EAVALUATION

ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY YARD EVALUATION TO SECURE BLUE SEAS

“K” Line has a vision for Global Environment Conservation, which is of paramount importance when carrying out Ship Recycling. “K” Line believes in recycling of ships in a manner which is not harmful to the Marine Environment. “K”LINE India’s Marine Division carries out Evaluation of the Ship Re-cycling Yards The criterion for Yard Evaluation is based on the various requirements of the Hong Kong Convention for Ship Recycling.

GREEN SHIP RECYCLING MONITORING

WE MONITOR THE OLD LADY UNTIL HER FINAL GOOD BYE

“K”LINE is in the process of retiring their older vessels and replacing them with “NEW & GREEN” ships in their fleet. The older ships are being re-cycled at Alang in India. “K”LINE India’s Marine Division carries out monitoring of the Re-cycling ships at recycling yards at Alang to ensure Green Ship Recycling is carried out in compliance with the requirements of the Hong Kong Convention for Ship Recycling.
